2016 is gone, 2017 is up. Went by kinda quickly for you moms everywhere, hasn’t it? That’s something only a mom can tell. Period. For regular women time has another dimension- one that flows much slower, that’s for sure. But don’t you worry, because you don’t wanna get more wrinkles than you already have.
So, time to make new year’s resolutions, put them on paper, and start ticking them one by one. Spend more time with the kids, go back to work, try a new pie recipe every two Sundays, set a date night for each Tuesday with your husband, don’t forget any anniversaries again, eat better, go to the gym, drink more water, and the list is endless.
But first, slow down. That is how I manage to plan my time wisely, jog with my baby, the job, my husband and the studying all while at the same time staying sane. That is how you can keep calm about everything your babies go through – from growth leaps to colds-, and how you can be able to take everything as it comes, without stressing about it or making a drama out of each sleepless night. Calm.
When you are in peace with yourself and with the role of being a mom, things fall together in the right way. When you understand that raising a child does not have to be a challenge, but rather a joy and when you see that children are human beings that grow up around you and that there are some things you can not control, life becomes easier and makes sense. No, being a mom does not mean you can control everything around you. It does not mean you have to take care of everything around you – that’s why we are called a family, because we need to work together.
MY secrets to daily energy, peace and wellbeing? One word: Hydration.
