Aaaand, it’s a boy for Italian blogger Chiara Ferragni and her fiancé, Fedez. The founder of The Blonde Salad has just given birth to her first child, a baby boy, named Leone – or for them, Leo. Little Leo entered the world yesterday, at the Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, as Chiara shared on her Instagram account: “March 19th 2018: our Leoncino was born”, she wrote in the caption of Leo’s Instagram debut.
Unlike other celebrities and influencers, Ferragni did not keep her baby’s name a secret until after giving birth. The blogger has been mentioning little Leo over the past few months in her baby bump pictures, and explained its significance in a comment to a follower: “At the end of August 2016, after a few months of being single and ‘dating’ guys that were not the right thing for me, I tattooed two lions in the back of my right arm,” she wrote, “which meant true love for me.” “I found my true love and Leo is in celebration of this love,” she said.
Ferragni has been sharing her pregnancy journey throughout the past months with her followers, sharing even less comfortable moments, and also announcing she will be putting her career on hold for a while to rest at doctor’s orders in her last month of pregnancy. “These past two days have been a blur,” she wrote in February. “On Wednesday morning we had our routine ultrasound and our gynecologist found out Leo’s tummy is not growing as much as It should, maybe because of the placenta getting old and not working correctly. I was put on bedrest, I really have to take it easy (had to cancel all my remaining jobs here) and I have now to take visits twice a week to make sure Leoncino is doing ok. We had the first one today and the results are so much better, he’s resting and growing strong 💪🏻 Thank you for being there for me, and I apologize in advance If my feed is not gonna be as exciting as usual 😊 I’d love to hear your birth stories if you wanna share #LeoncinoMio.”

After sharing the great news with her fans and the whole world, Chiara posted an emotional, beautiful picture captures few moments after giving birth, capturing it: “These were the best tears I’ve ever cried. This was the moment we saw Leo coming to life: never before I felt such a feeling. It was a long labor and I was exhausted and living this experience with my love by my side was the best motivation. It felt like it was a movie scene/a dream. I keep starting crying when I look at this photo because It means the world. We love you so much already little Leoncino #LeoncinoMio “.
