It comes as no surprise really, considering the rising demand in luxury kids wear and the hype of the mini-me trend that French designer house Louis Vuitton has revealed their first ever baby and newborn collection. Set to launch on March 3, the line will include clothing sized 3 up to 12 months (made from the best organic cotton, cashmere and sheep’s wool, of course), shoes, sophisticated mini accessories and some of their signature monogram patterns, of course.
“The collection represents a thoughtful range of everyday pieces and special occasion styles, of first toys that can become lifelong keepsakes,” the house said in a statement.

And if you’re thinking about some super special, fancy and designer baby gifts, you can now opt for an engraved silver tumbler, a Louis Vuitton teddybear, travel and toiletry bags, blankets or even a new take on the brand’s special edition wardrobe trunk.

The collection was inspired by the House’s DNA when Gaston Louis Vuitton introduced toys to the Maison’s universe with a Salon de Jouets inside the Champs-Elysées store in the 1930s.
“Details are delicately and meticulously considered, whether mother-of-pearl buttons on cotton cashmere cardigans, small embroideries on bloomers and bodies, or the subtle appearance of the Monogram as a jacquard and printed on grosgrain”, according to WWD.
“This range dedicated to new-born babies reinforces the emotional connection between [Louis Vuitton] and its customers, as each symbolic moment becomes a lifelong memory,” said Louis Vuitton in a press release.
The mini me collection will be available starting March 3 in selected stores and online.
